Twin Sister - Luna’s Theme
Finding it a little hard to get into the new Twin Sister album, In Heaven. Not only because i havent had much time to listen to it but also because it feels so different from their old stuff. It feels almost like the Twin Sister log cabin has been suddenly engulfed by the urban sprawl of a nearby city. The sound scapes lack their rustic edge and now have an almost tinny veneer coating. It’s not necessarily a bad thing but there are less little gems in this album than id hoped for. Andrea really sounds like shes upped her ante a little with this record too, altering her singing style slightly, removing that eccentric lilt that was so characteristic to her.
Still, the bands never sounded so tight knit and well produced. I’m looking forward to seeing them play next month.
